NW Portland Mid-Century Primary Bathroom

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The hallway bath in this NW Portland Mid-Century home was in desperate need of an upgrade. The original room had a tiny enclosed stall shower which was separate from an un-used bathtub. The fixtures, cabinetry, flooring and lighting were dated and drab – all making the already small space feel even more cramped. We first removed the shower and tub to open up space for a large, open, walk-in shower. The cleaner lines and more minimalistic design appealed to the client’s tastes. A floating lighted vanity and large mirror added a more spacious feel.
Touches like large-format marble-look porcelain tile and a towel warmer brought a touch of luxury to the bath, transforming it into a sophisticated room more in keeping with the client’s home. Careful pre-planning, communication, and attention to detail was crucial in order to have the tile line up perfectly!
